How To Start an ACE Program

***Please follow sequentially***

  1. Read Administrator Face Sheet (above) – for Admin buy-in and need
  2. Review Ideal ACE Teacher Job Description (above) – to assess candidates and personnel appropriateness
  3. Review Infographic (above) – to ascertain student need, programming fit and realistic expectations of program delivery
  4. Explore ACE Courses (below) – these 12 courses will be what each ACE CTE program will delivery within programming
  5. Dive into the various ACE CTE Crosswalks (below) – to help bring awareness to the level of alignment ACE CTE has with other initiatives and standards
  6. Be familiar with the ACE CTE Credential requirement (below) – to ensure personnel matches
  7. Gain log-in access to Program Approval (link below) paying close attention to the list of program Assurances for Quality ACE CTE delivery. Also, note these Checklists can be found here: https://coloradostateplan.com/educator/cte-standards-program-approval/
  8. Don’t forget to submit your CTSO* Chapter Application – found here: https://coloradostateplan.com/educator/ace/ace-ctso/ *Career & Technical Student Organization
  9. Review the Sample Programs of Study (POS) – these are required for each officially approved CTE program – see link below.
  10. Register for the upcoming ACE Teacher Conference (see link to the left) & become members of CACTE (www.cacte.org)
